Director of Audience Development

Purch is a rapidly growing, constantly evolving content and commerce company. More than 100 million monthly visitors engage with our many brands—Tom’s Guide,, LiveScience, TopTenReviews, and more. The Purch B2C division seeks an experienced director of paid marketing to drive qualified traffic to our compelling, original content and helpful consumer product reviews. You will build a world-class team from the ground up who will measure and understand how to further scale the Purch audience of engaged readers and happy shoppers. 

You will…

  • Build an engaged audience of happy readers across the Purch network of unique and original content.
  • Make a difference for consumers as they make complex buying decisions across a wide range of product categories.
  • Manage a multi-million-dollar budget across multiple marketing platforms and channels, including search, native, and social media.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to execute effectively across a wide range of goals and projects, to carefully and methodically bring our bold vision to life.
  • Execute consistently, rapidly, and effectively, connecting decisions and action with real-time data.
  • Develop and grow a team of data-oriented marketers, working with them hands-on to grow them professionally and bring Purch’s goals to fruition.
  • Serve as a role model for a growing marketing organization and an advocate for our audience through continuous innovation, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships with our channel providers such as Facebook, Outbrain and Taboola and serve as an internal expert and evangelist.

You bring…

  • 6+ years of marketing experience on high-scale, direct to consumer websites or mobile apps.
  • An ability to juggle many competing priorities and make tough decisions on what matters most to scale a marketing program profitably.
  • A passion for driving qualified traffic at scale through data-driven, iterative testing and continuous optimization.
  • Strong relationships with the major strategic advertising platforms in native, search and social advertising.
  • The ability to inspire and lead a world-class team and influence stakeholders across the Purch organization to get things done quickly.
  • The communication skills and savvy to successfully work cross-functionally to consistently bring new content and targeted campaigns to life.
  • A scrappy attitude and passion to move forward quickly, balanced with the level-headedness to manage multi-million-dollar marketing budgets profitably.
  • A refreshing and innovative approach to scaling traffic and a voracious appetite to try new things and learn from experimentation.
